Serious A303 collision closes road at A358 Horton Cross and A356 Norton-sub-Hamdon

Police are advising motorists to avoid the A303 eastbound in Southfields and South Petherton after a collision.
The incident happened this afternoon.
That road has been closed in both directions for the time being.
Inrix stated:
"A303 in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident from Harp Road (Hayes End roundabout, Somerset) to the A358 (Southfields roundabout) Southfields roundabout (Ilminster). The road was closed at around 16:04.
"Diversion - eastbound traffic via the solid circle sign along the A358 into Chard and along the A30 into Crewkerne before travelling on the A356. Westbound traffic should follow the solid triangle symbol which is the same route in reverse."
