Pair of sealion pups arrive at Longleat
The baby news just keeps coming from Wiltshire's safari park
Two sealion pups have been born at Wiltshire's Longleat safari park in the last couple of weeks.
The pair are half-brothers and arrived a couple of days apart.
They'll make their home in the Half Mile Pond on site, where visitors can see them on the famous Jungle Cruise.
Neither of the pups have been given names as yet and take the total number of sealions at Longleat to eight.
The species has been a favourite for guests since they first arrived in 1968, with generations of them born since.
Lead keeper, Lauren Bow, said:
“It’s very exciting having two new pups here at Half Mile Pond. Seeing (sealion) Belle become a mum is particularly special to me.
"(She) was the first pup to be born when I first started at Longleat, so seeing her go on to have her own pups is a special moment.”
