More than £2000 has been raised for the restoration of the path

More than £2000 has been raised after a rainbow path in Taunton, was vandalised last week with white paint.
It has now been fully restored, with local LGBTQ+ group Taunton Pride saying any extra cash will go towards this year's festival later in the year.
Last Thursday, the town council called the damage 'unacceptable'.
On their fundraising page, Taunton Pride said: "We are dismayed that Taunton's Rainbow Pathway has been vandalized.
"Taunton is overwhelmingly supportive of its LGBT+ community, but all it takes is one person with criminal intent to spoil something enjoyed by so many.
"The Pathway was originally commissioned by GoCreate. Taunton Pride is raising funds so GoCreate can repair the damage and make it sparkle again! If we exceed our funding goal the proceeds will go to Taunton Pride 2024!"
