Yeovil Town FC say they're 'pleased' to share an update on the progress they've been making at Huish Park, as work continues ahead of the new season, which kicks off next month.

This comes as the Glovers' new owners say they want to see the team promoted to the EFL.

Mr Prabhu Srinivasan wrote an open letter to Glovers fans earlier this year, saying they'll work tirelessly for the club's values.

In a new letter, he noted the 'perceived lack of transfer activity' over the summer - but said how the whole team are 'working tirelessly to bring in the right players'.

In the new letter, published today (18/07), Chairman and Executive Chairman Prabhu Srinivasan & Stuart Robins said: "It’s now a month since the Meet the Owners evening – a brilliant night that reminded us how special this club is. We remain absolutely committed to open dialogue, and we look forward to more of those sessions as the season unfolds.

"Since taking ownership in May, we’ve been working hard to stabilise the club, forge new partnerships, and lay foundations for growth – both on and off the pitch.

"You’ll soon see new sponsorship announcements, including fantastic local businesses who continue to stand by us. Their backing, and yours, is building real momentum.

"Naturally, much of the focus is on player recruitment. We completely understand some of the frustration around the perceived lack of transfer activity – but please be assured, that Mark and his coaching team are working tirelessly to bring in the right players.

"Our approach this summer has been considered and deliberate. It’s about quality over quantity – building a competitive, energetic squad that fits Mark’s vision. So far, we’ve welcomed Kyle Ferguson, Tahvon Campbell and James Daly, and we expect more to follow.

"The team has moved training to SGS, a top-class facility that’s already having an impact. We’ve also made a small change to the pitch dimensions at Huish Park, following analysis by the coaching team.

"We’re pleased with how pre-season has gone so far – strong performances, promising signs, and growing rhythm.

"We’ve continued positive conversations with Somerset County Council regarding the long-term aim of buying back Huish Park for the club. There’s no quick fix, but progress is being made, and we’re grateful for their support.

"Finally, a word on our amazing volunteers. The Green and White Supporters Club has done brilliant work over many years. To say thank you, we’re holding a Volunteers’ Evening this Thursday at 7pm in the Glovers Lounge, hosted by Stuart Robins and Nicholas Brayne. All current and prospective volunteers are warmly invited.

"We’re building something honest and ambitious – rooted in Yeovil, powered by its community, and focused on delivering football to be proud of.

"Get your season ticket. Let’s fill Huish Park with noise, colour and belief."
