Man charged with robbery after moped 'driven into' victim in Taunton
The victim suffered injuries which needed hospital treatment
An 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged with robbery after a moped was allegedly driven into a man in Taunton.
The victim, a 20-year-old man, had his mobile phone stolen during the incident in Kingston Road on Sunday 13 April.
Avon and Somerset Police said the victim suffered injuries during the incident which required hospital treatment.
Officers investigating the robbery seized a moped as part of their enquiries.
Ellis Bangs, of Taunton, appeared at Taunton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 30th October, charged with robbery.
The next hearing will be held at Taunton Crown Court on Monday 1 December.
