A man has been arrested after an assault in Taunton.
Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed he is in custody following the incident on Monday night (18 August).
We're told the incident happened in a convenience store in East Reach, just before 9pm on Monday and involved two members of the public.
Although officers attended within 10 minutes, the suspect had already left the scene.
The injured man, who is in his fifties, has thankfully been released from hospital after treatment to his injuries.
A man in his thirties was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent just before 8.40pm on Tuesday 19 August - within 24 hours of the assault.
