#LeadersinLockdown - your questions answered
We've been asking the leaders of Somerset, Bath and Bristol councils what they think we can expect over the coming months as part of our first #LeadersinLockdown feature.
Last updated 18th Mar 2021
With restrictions expected to ease as we head towards the Summer, listeners have been submitting questions looking at what has changed and what lessons have been learnt locally.
Somerset County Council
Leader David Fothergill and Public Health Director Trudi Grant have been asked about everything from support for cycling, to help with finding new jobs, whether this Summer will see a return of the usual Friday traffic jams in Somerset and what mental health support is being offered to children and adults. For more information about the support and advice available from Somerset County Council visit www.somerset.gov.uk/coronavirus
The video will appear here at 7pm
Bristol City Council
Bristol Mayor Marvin Rees answers your questions on business recovery, the Clean Air Zone due to come into force in October, homelessness and the city's congestion among other things.
During the conversation we hear about plans for more Park and Ride services, pods to get people off the streets and discussions to revive our high streets.
You'll be able to watch the full interview below from 7pm.
BANES Council
Bath and North East Somerset Council leader Dine Romero answers your questions on the Clean Air Zone, which in Bath has already come into force, how major local events like the Christmas market will be revived and whether she supports plans for a new Bath Rugby stadium at The Rec.
Again, you can watch the full interview from 7pm.
