A West County firm says next week's Rugby World Cup has given a jobs boost here - after sending 11 arctic lorries full of equipment there.

The North Devon firm been named the sole equipment supplier to the competition and some of the items being sent by Aramis Rugby were created using a supply chain within 40-miles of South Molton.

The firm has also continued to invest and train apprentices, which it hopes will eventually offer skills to help other firms in the region too.

The firm's Vikas Mahajan said: "We've got in touch with a lot of universities and colleges around and we've taken on quite a few apprentices who we are trying to develop in house in the hope that it will help the other local small businesses as well."
