Hit and run in Yeovil leaves man in his 70s with broken leg

Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the incident.

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for information following a hit and run in Yeovil.

The incident happened on Newton Road at about 6.40am on Friday morning (13th December).

The pedestrian, a man in his seventies, suffered a broken leg/ankle and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car, possibly a Toyota, did initially stop at the scene, before driving off.

Officers are appealing to the driver of the vehicle to come forward.

They'd also like to speak to anyone who may have dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage.
