Glastonbury 2023 officially sold out

Tickets went on sale at 9am and took more than an hour to sell out due to the website experiencing 'technical problems'

According to festival organisers tickets for next year’s Glastonbury festival have sold out and say that the demand exceeded their supply.

Tickets were on sale for £335 each and went on sale at 9 am; To purchase a ticket, you had to pre-register in advance; organiser's allowed individuals to book up to 6 tickets per transaction.

Earlier on Sunday morning, at 9.49am, See Tickets, the ticket company running sales for Glastonbury, asked fans to "bear with us" as it was "working on a technical problem".

Some fans on Twitter reported that the website would not initially load for them for a long period with others saying they were booted off the booking site at different points, including the final payment point.

Following the festival selling out, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis took to Twitter to state that the supply had exceeded the demand and thanked those who bought a ticket for the event.

If you missed out there will be a resale of any cancelled or returned tickets next Spring.
