Fire service claim forty per cent of calls as 'false alarms'
They say it 'diverts their resources away from real emergencies'
Somerset's fire service says 40 per cent of incidents they attend are false alarms.
In the last year, they were called to more than 6-thousand false alarms. The service says it increases pressure on them and 'diverts their resources away from real emergencies'.
They urge businesses to work with them to reduce these 'unwanted' call outs.
