Devon and Somerset Fire Service say they are dealing with a "large fire" in Crewkerne.

It has broken out in a former Natwest bank on Market Street with 14 fire engines on the scene.

Crews from the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service are also assisting.

We are told the fire has reached the third floor of the building with flames breaching the roof.

Crews have been attempting to tackle the fire from above.

The building has reportedly been disused for some time and there are currently no reports of any injuries.

It all comes just four days after a Bridgwater College building was gutted in another fire, which is being treated as suspected arson.

Fifteen fire engines were needed on that occasion last Thursday (18/02) and one man has since been arrested in connection with that incident.

Then on Friday night (19/02) a hay barn in Taunton went up in flames.

Six crews were needed there to save the building, which contained 300 tonnes of hay.

There's no suggestion the Crewkerne fire is linked to the other incidents.
