Driver rushed to hospital with possible life-threatening injuries in A39 crash

The driver of a car has been rushed to hospital by air ambulance after a serious crash on the A39 yesterday evening.

Avon and Somerset Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident which happened on the road between Porlock and Minehead at around 11pm last night.

One person has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and has been released under investigation.

The road was closed overnight while emergency services attended the scene, but it has since now been reopened.
