Somerset: Disruption to rail services as emergency services investigate incident

Emergency services are currently dealing with an incident at Taunton train station (4 September).

Great Western Railway have confirmed a person has been hit by a train - leading to all lines being blocked.

It means services across Somerset are being impacted as investigation work is taking place.

Trains between Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads, via Weston-Super-Mare may be cancelled or delayed.

Major disruption is expected throughout the day.

Inrix, the traffic monitoring site also added: "Service suspended on CrossCountry between Taunton and Bristol Temple Meads due to emergency services dealing with an incident," and: "Service suspended on Great Western Railway between Taunton and Bridgwater, and between Taunton and Castle Cary due to emergency services dealing with an incident."
