Yeovil Town Football Club say they are 'delighted' to announce the appointment of Danny Webb as our new First Team Manager.

The 42-year-old is said to bring a wealth of experience from youth development to senior management.

The club said: "As a player, he had a professional career that included spells at several clubs, including a brief period with Yeovil Town, giving him a personal connection to the club he now leads.

"Danny began his coaching career with Leyton Orient, progressing through their youth ranks to guide the U16s to a national cup triumph and the U18s to an unbeaten Merit League Two title. He later stepped into the senior set-up and played a key role in Orient’s return to the Football League as National League champions in 2018/19, as well as reaching the FA Trophy Final at Wembley.

"In 2021, Danny joined Chesterfield as Assistant Manager, where he was a key figure in their resurgence. He helped guide the Spireites to three consecutive National League play-off campaigns, celebrated promotion as National League champions in 2023/24 under Paul Cook, and most recently contributed to a League Two play-off campaign in Chesterfield’s first season back in the EFL.

"Danny takes charge at Huish Park, and we are excited to see him lead our club into an exciting new chapter of ambition and growth."

He's signed a deal running until summer 2027, whilst Richard Dryden will lead the team this weekend, with Danny Webb taking the reins next week ahead of our trip to Tamworth.
