Bridgwater Together returns for its eleventh year on Saturday 15 November, bringing a vibrant celebration of diversity, community spirit and cultural unity to the heart of Bridgwater. The event runs from 11.00am to 3.00pm across two central venues, Bridgwater Town Hall and The Engine Room.

Festivities begin with a lively procession from the Blake Statue at Cornhill at 10.45am, led by Avtar, an Indian dancer bringing the energy of Bollywood to Bridgwater. The procession will make its way to the Town Hall, kicking off a day packed with music, food and fun.

Visitors can enjoy live performances from around the world, sample international cuisine and take part in a wide range of creative and family-friendly activities. From arts and crafts to face painting, games and community stalls, there’s something for everyone to enjoy including traditional board games from across the globe, including Mah Jong, Catan and Carrom at the Engine Room for attendees to discover and play together.

Since its launch in 2018, Bridgwater Together has grown into a much-loved annual event that brings people together to celebrate what we have in common. This year’s theme, “One Town, One People, One World,” reflects the strength and richness of Bridgwater’s multicultural community.

Brian Smedley, Leader of Bridgwater Town Council, said, “We are very proud to have supported this event from conception to today and into the future. Our town is immeasurably enriched by the wealth of multi-cultural diversity we see around us.”

Phil Shepherd of Somerset Film added, “New this year, we’re showcasing amazing board games from around the world. Come and give them a try, it’s time to celebrate what we have in common.”

Whether you're a long-time resident or new to the area, Bridgwater Together invites you to join in this joyful celebration of culture, creativity and community.
