Boy suffers burns in assault near Taunton park

A 12-year-old boy has suffered burns to his forehead and socket, during an assault in Taunton.

Police are now investigating what happened, and are wanting people with information to get in touch.

It happened around 5pm on the 22nd February in the area of Wellsprings Park and Cheddon Road.

During the assault, the boy suffered burns to his forehand and eye socket. He was treated at hospital, but has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

It's believed that as many as 4 offenders were involved, police say they are all aged in their early to mid teens.

Three were girls, and the fourth was a boy.
