Police appeal for victim following hate-related assault in Bridgwater

Avon and Somerset Police are searching for the victim of a hate-related assault and public order incident in Bridgwater.

It happened at around 18:45 on June 14.

Officers were called out to St John's Street after a man is reported to have been shouting abuse and threatening members of the black and Asian community - with the suspect then seen punching a man 'several times' during the incident.

Police still haven't been able to find the victim, with officers launching an appeal for anyone with information or relevant footage of what happened as investigations continue.

One man was arrested and has been released on police bail.
