Investigations are continuing today after fire crews from across Somerset were called to an incident in Westonzoyland overnight.

The A372 has now reopened, after it was closed with people living nearby told to keep their windows and doors shut.

The fire, at a derelict house on Fore Street, started just after 10pm and crews from Taunton, Bridgwater, Glastonbury, Nether Stowey and Street were all called to the scene - along with police.

Fire crews say the incident has severely affected the two-storey brick main building - with part of the roof colllapsing inwards.

The cause of the fire remains unknown and fire investigation officers are returning to the scene today.
