A 15-year-old boy has been arrested as part of the police's investigations into a robbery in Wellington.

The Avon and Somerset force say the incident happened last Tuesday, when a 17 year old boy was threatened with a bladed article.

In a statement, they add: "On Tuesday 29 August at around 7pm, a 17-year-old boy was in Wellington Park with friends when he was approached by the suspect.

"The suspect threatened the victim with a bladed article and ordered him to hand over the contents of his pockets.

"The Neighbourhood Policing Team have been carrying out increased reassurance patrols in the area, and you can raise any concerns with officers.

"If you were in the area of Wellington Park and saw anything, please call us."

The boy has been released on police bail, and anyone with information is urged to get in touch with police.

You can do that by calling 101 and by giving the call handler the reference number 5223209583.
