Young man and teen girl assaulted in Salisbury's Queen Elizabeth Gardens

Police in Salisbury are calling for information after a man and a teenage girl were assault in Queen Elizabeth Gardens.

It happened around 8:45pm on Monday evening (3/6) when a man in his 20s and a 16-year-old girl were punched by their attacker.

The man was punched in the face, while the girl suffered a number blows, requiring medical attention for the injuries she suffered.

She managed to escape but the suspect threw her mobile phone into the river.
