Keen skaters in Old Sarum will soon get somewhere new to show off their tricks after work begun on a park yesterday (Monday 28th June).

Laverstock and Ford Parish Council hired contractors to complete the work after a period of consultation with members from the Old Sarum Skatepark Project Group.

Members from the group also helped with fundraising and made an important contribution through their activities in supporting this project.

Construction began yesterday

It should be completed in around 6-8 weeks time.

The park has been designed for not only skateboarding, but also scooters, BMZ and roller skating.

The location of the skatepark

It will be located on land owned by the Parish Council at the end of the swales.
