Woman found four times over drink drive limit after Downton crash

A car had collided with a metal post at the pinchpoint along The Borough.

Wiltshire Specialist Ops posted on social media that a roadside breath test carried out on the driver registered 157, over four times the legal limit of 35.

The force gave this this statement to Greatest Hits Radio'

"Officers were called shortly after 9.15pm last night to reports of a car hitting a metal bollard in The Borough, Downton."

"A 49-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and taken to Melksham Police Station where she remains in custody."
