Woman charged after caught drink driving near Stonehenge visitor centre

A woman has been charged with drink driving after being stopped by police near the Stonehenge visitor centre.

She was driving along the A360, just off the A303 at around 1:30pm on Wednesday.

Police pulled over the vehicle and conducted a roadside breath test, which she failed.

Police arrested Sally-Ann Dewhurst, 53 from Sidbury in Devon, at the scene.

She has since been charged and bailed to appear in court at a later date.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said:

“We have charged Sally-Ann Dewhurst, 53, from Sidbury, Devon, with drink driving. She has been bailed to appear at court at a later date.

“This is in relation to an incident at around 1.30pm on the A303 yesterday (24/08) in which a person was stopped and failed a roadside breath test.”
