Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward

Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted on Friary Lane, Salisbury, last month.

The assault happened at around 6:30pm on Friday, 30 December.

A 53-year-old woman was reportedly pushed on the shoulder by a young man, causing her to fall to the ground.

Police are appealing for information.

A spokesperson from Wiltshire Police said:

"We are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted on Friary Lane, Salisbury.

"At around 6.30pm on December 30th the 53-year-old woman was pushed on the shoulder by a young man causing her to fall to the ground.

"If you saw what happened or can help with our enquiries please contact us."
