Police have released a picture of a man they want to identify

Officers investigating an assault on a woman, on Fisherton Street in Salisbury, have released an image of a man they would like to identify.

Police say an unknown suspect is believed to have walked past the victim and spat in her face.

The incident happened at around 1:20pm on Friday, 30 December.

A spokesperson from Salisbury Police said:

"We are appealing to the public for help in identifying this man in connection with an incident of common assault in Salisbury.

"On December 30, at around 1.20pm, an unknown suspect is believed to have walked past the victim on Fisherton Street, Salisbury, and spat in her face."
