Woman assaulted outside Collingbourne Kingston village hall

Police say they believe a number of people witnessed the incident

A woman in her 30s has been assaulted in the car park of a Wiltshire village hall, while a function was ongoing there.

The victim was attacked by a man in Collingbourne Kingston at around midnight, going into Sunday 2nd April, with the details just released by officers.

It's believed the man is known to the woman.

Wiltshire Police is now investigating, and say they think a number of guests at the function could have witnesses what happened.

They're looking to speak to anyone who was there, if they haven't contacted officers already.

A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the assault, and released on conditional bail while enquiries are ongoing.
