Wiltshire Wildlife Trust to help boost workplace wellbeing
The charity's got Government cash to help those with mental health concerns
Wiltshire's Wildlife Trust is to start offering help to the county's workplaces, to improve staff wellbeing.
The charity's for over £36,000 of Government funding to run their new 'Wild Workplaces' programme.
It aims to help people experiencing poor mental health, who are struggling at work, through awareness work and early intervention sessions, using a nature-based approach.
The Trust will also deliver Mental Health First Aid training later this year, where employers will be able to register employees on a course to help them spot the signs of mental health issues and provide support to co-workers.
Free, bespoke six-week packages of wellbeing support will follow, tailored for organisations, with the long-term aim of sustaining employment for staff at risk of not being able to work due to poor mental health.
Imogen Jackson, Wellbeing Programmes Leader at Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, says:
“We are hugely grateful to Wiltshire Council for the funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which has given us the opportunity to extend our programme of wellbeing support into workplaces. By integrating nature-based practices with tailored wellbeing support, we aim to empower workplaces to prioritise mental health, and to promote resilient and healthier workforces.”
