Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital was set up in 1993 by Marilyn and Mike Korkis and is now in desperate need of new facilities.
The current main barn constructed in 2001 at Newton Tony was intended to be temporary facility but the couple have been so busy dedicating all their time and resources to helping thousands of animals over the years.
The "run down and tired" wooden structure is struggling to cope with the influx of animals and is often overcrowded, its also difficult to keep warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
SUPPORT FROM FAMOUS ACTRESS
Dame Judi Dench is now heading a campaign to raise £250,000 to build a new hospital.
In a video the 86 year old actress has praised the "fantastic" work of the charity and its volunteers who work round the clock to provide care for animals in need.
The charity says they're "thrilled" to have Dame Judi Dench's backing and hope they can raise "enough money to provide the facilities and service that our wildlife deserves."
Founder Marilyn Korkis says simply "we want to leave something for future generations."
Last year the couple and their team of dedicated volunteers helped more than 4,000 animals including badger, deer, hedgehogs, kestrel and swans, from Wiltshire and wider afield.
