More than 2,000 drivers were caught speeding in Wiltshire during April, the Forces monthly figures have revealed.

It takes the total number of people caught over the limit on a Wiltshire road to almost 6,000 for the year.

The April number of 2,028 is a jump of over 700 on March's 1,324, following 1,769 drivers caught speeding in February.

It's leading to further calls from Speed Enforcement Officers for us to obey speed restrictions across the county and to drive responsibly.

The force has repeated it's message of 'Be safe. Drive smart. Watch your speed.'
