A group of officers and staff from Wiltshire Police have completed a 185-mile cycle ride to remember those who have fallen in the line of duty.

The cyclists were seen off on Friday morning (28th July) by Chief Constable Catherine Roper and arrived at the National Memorial Arboretum on Sunday (30th July).

There a special commemoration ceremony was held, with forces from across the UK in attended.

The group was led by Deputy Chief Constable Paul Mills, who said it was a privilege to lead a unity tour.

"Now, more than ever, it is important for all police officers and staff, as well as the wider public, to acknowledge the ever-present dangers and risks of modern-day policing and pay tribute to those who have lost their lives while protecting our communities."

Since being established in 1839, 30 officers have lost their lives while serving Wiltshire Constabulary.
