Wiltshire Police caught more than 500 people breaking the speed limit in the county during October.

And with the combination of poorer weather and lower visibility becoming an increasing issue through Autumn, we’re being urged to take extra care on the roads.

The 535 caught in October is a small drop on the 548 the Force spotted in September.

Of that 535, 84% of them (452) have been offered Speed Awareness courses, with 76 drivers issued with fines and points put onto their licences.

Seven drivers are due to appear in court.

The Force say: “Be safe, drive smart and watch your speed”.
