Wiltshire Police have arrested three people in connection with a fake leaflet scam.

Two men, described as Eastern European, were seen delivering fake leaflets in the name of Wiltshire Farm Foods to the Downton and Redlynch areas.

Police were made aware of the incident a couple of days ago and were asking the public to report it to 101, if they spotted the pair.

Thanks to quick calls made from people in those areas the police were able to locate them.

Wiltshire Farm foods did confirm that the men are in no way associated to them and are helping with the Force's enquiries.

A Spokesperson from Salisbury Police said:

"Local officers would like to thank the public for their help as thanks to their quick calls officer were able to intercept those who are believed to be involved.

"They are currently on their way to custody."
