Wiltshire's parents are being asked to help in the fight against anti-social behaviour this summer - but also to prevent their children becoming victims.

The county's police force is asking mums and dads to speak to young people about the issue.

They've said the summer months are likely to mean more of us are getting outdoors for longer each day.

But they're also asking young people to be aware that while gathering together isn't anti-social, things like causing criminal damage, harassment, or intimidating other people is an offence.

Police have said that while it's a 'familiar misconception' that young people are often behind anti-social behaviour, they're also just as likely to be victims too.

They've put out the advice during Anti-Social Behaviour Awareness Week, saying they work with partners around the county to prevent incident and protect the community.
