The latest sporting contest for wounded and injured veterans is ongoing in Germany
South West Wiltshire's MP has been showing his support for the UK team at this year's Invictus Games.
Andrew Murrison's travelled to Dusseldorf in Germany to meet with competitors, in his role at Defence Minister.
The Invictus Games, created by Prince Harry, aims to give wounded and injured ex-military personnel a sporting outlet.
Teams from around the world compete for medals in events like athletics, power lifting, wheelchair rugby, archery, rowing and more.
This year's Games are ongoing until Saturday (16th September).
Andrew Murrison, himself a military veteran, said:
"The Invictus Games brings together the Armed Forces community around the world and is central to the rehabilitation and recovery programme of many veterans and service personnel.
"I am delighted to be able to attend and meet these inspiring individuals, hearing more about each of their journeys."
During the visit, Dr Murrison has also been meeting with his Defence Minister counterpart from Ukraine, Yulia Laputina, at the Games in Düsseldorf.
The Minstry of Defence says they 'discussed the care and rehabilitation of veterans and the UK's ongoing support to Ukraine'.
