Hippos are coming back to Longleat
The Wiltshire Safari Park has made the announcement on social media.
Spot, their last surviving Hippo died in January last year aged 49...
Today they announced plans had been approved for 21st century accommodation for a pod of hippos.
Work is due to being next week so hopefully the hippos will be here in no time!
Hippos were originally brought to the Longleat Estate in 1967.
The park hopes to introduce a new breeding pair in the summer.
So you should be able to plan a visit to go meet them in the year's school holidays!
