As we're asked to stay at home during the latest national lockdown, only going out for essential reasons like picking up groceries or if we can't work from home, we'll still have to pay for parking in Wiltshire Council car parks.

Charges for their sites are 'running as normal and charges still apply'.

During the first lockdown, charges in the Wiltshire Council car parks were scrapped for the duration, but were kept in place for the second one in November.

WHAT ABOUT OTHER COUNCIL AREAS?

Charges are also being retained in the New Forest District Council run car parks.

But in the Test Valley, the Borough Council has suspended parking charges until further notice.

They've said they'll be 'keeping parking charges under review following the latest government guidance'.

The charges were stopped on Boxing Day, when the Borough came under Tier 4 Covid-19 restrictions.
