Wiltshire Council ask us to recycle correctly this Christmas

Irresponsible recycling could see our blue lidded boxes unemptied

Wiltshire Council has issued some tips for recycling correctly over the festive period.

After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as well as Christmas just around the corner, we might be getting more deliveries than usual over the next month or so.

And with that comes an increase in the amount of recycling we have in our homes, which means the blue lidded bins we recycle cardboard in could become very full, very quickly.

The authority's asking us to ensure all non-cardboard/paper packaging like bubble wrap or polystyrene is removed and to break down cardboard boxes to ensure they fit into the bins.

It's important for us to keep our recycling clean and dry. If our cardboard is wet, it may not be taken as it can't be recycled.
