Three Wiltshire charities reach Big Give targets
A Christmas campaign saw public donations doubled for a week
Three local charities have achieved their fundraising targets through the Big Give Christmas Challenge.
The campaign saw public donations made between November 28th and December 5th being doubled to support worthy causes.
Among those taking part were Salisbury Hospice, Wiltshire's Air Ambulance and Wiltshire Creative - which runs Salisbury Playhouse.
The Hospice Charity aimed to raise £30,000 towards their work with terminally ill patients and their families.
The money raised is going into their palliative care team, the Peter Gillam day centre, and their Hospice at Home service.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance was looking to raise £35,000 to fund a critical care doctor for a year.
They were aiming to keep Dr Jono Holme as part of the life-saving service, providing medical treatment to patients either on their helicopter, or in their rapid response vehicles.
Support for Wiltshire Creative means they'll be able to provide 300 tickets to their pantomime Dick Whittington at Salisbury Playhouse, to local vulnerable families.
They'll also put their £21,700 of donations towards 20 bursary places for their Stage 65 young people's theatre project.
