The aircrew at Wiltshire Air Ambulance have completed their virtual bike ride by raising ÂŁ6789 for portable blood and fluid warmers.

On Monday February 8th the crew began cycling towards their 654-mile goal with a fundraising target of ÂŁ5182.

The night crew, trustees and paramedics all took part in the challenge, with one paramedic completing 20 miles in full PPE.

Cycling took place virtually at the airbase on exercise bikes, which were donated by Places Leisure.

By February 12th the Aircrew had smashed their target with 133 virtual miles still to go.

Paramedic Lou marked the end of the challenge, on February 14th, by cycling the last 7 miles.

A Spokesperson from Wiltshire Air Ambulance said:

"The generosity of the people of Wiltshire and Bath has been incredible during our crew's challenge this week. We are incredibly grateful for your support"
