Wiltshire Air Ambulance launches Christmas raffle with a nod to film 'Love Actually'
A grand prize of £3,000 is on offer
Wiltshire Air Ambulance has launched its Christmas raffle with a video inspired by a famous festive film.
The charity’s trainee critical care paramedic Matt Metcalf wearing a Santa hat and holding messages written on white card.
It’s a nod to the scene in Love Actually where Mark tries to get a heartfelt message to Juliet, played by Kiera Knightly.
Rosie Furse, a critical care doctor for the charity, writes in a letter sent to donors across Wiltshire and Bath: “We appreciate times are tough for everyone with the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, but please do consider playing our Christmas Raffle and you will be helping to fund our vital work.
“We receive no regular direct funding from the Government or National Lottery grants, so we need your support to ensure we continue to be there for people.”
The charity needs £4 million a year, which equates to around £11,000 per day, to keep the air ambulance flying, relying on donations to keep saving lives.
Raffle tickets can be bought now, with a grand prize of £3,000 on offer in the draw which is being held 20th December.
A special early bird draw is available to those taking part by 16th November.
Entries for the main draw close on 13th December.
