Wilton's Rotary Club has handed over more than £11,200 to the Stars Appeal at Salisbury District Hospital.

The group's collated the proceeds the Wilton Wake Up events and the Mammoth Car Boot Sale, all held at Wilton House this summer.

Wiltshire's Lord Lieutenant, Sarah Troughton, was on hand to oversee the presentation to the charity at a meeting this week (Monday 4th November).

Guests were shown a video of some of the equipment being purchased by the Stars Appeal, thanks to the donation.

That includes sleeper chairs for relatives staying alongside their loved ones in hospital.

It's also gone towards an Omibeam projector, that projects dynamic images that respond to gesture and movement and is used to enhance therapy for those on the Children’s Ward.
