An employee at a Farm in the Wilton area has been injured by suspected hare-coursers.

The incident happened around 10am on Saturday 21st August, when the farm hand, a man in his 40s, was struck by a car after confronting the suspects.

He was left with minor injuries, which he declined hospital treatment for.

Police are appealing for information from witnesses or anyone who remembers seeing a white Citroen car with three while men being driven in the area.

Anyone with information should contact the police on 101 quoting log 54230087611.

Wiltshire Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Wilkinson has said that rural crime is an area of policing that needs improving at Wiltshire Police.

He told us he hopes to target rural crime gangs in a similar way to how forces across the South-West tackled drug related crime with Operation Scorpion.
