Heavy and potentially thundery showers are expected for South Wiltshire today (Wednesday 2nd August) - but we're sitting in the calmer spot between two Met Office warnings.

That's joined by another warning for thunderstorms further north, bringing some torrential downpours at times.

Salisbury sits centrally in the areas NOT covered by weather warnings today - but we could see some knock on effects

Forecasters say it's all due to low pressure systems over the UK, brought over by the jet stream.

That's what's also providing drier and warmer conditions for southern Europe.

We're the weather here is 'unseasonably windy' with the possibility of some flooding and travel disruption in places.
