Weather warning for heavy rain from TOMORROW

The Met Office has issued an alert for the whole of Southern England

We can expect some heavy rain and difficult travelling conditions across the whole of Southern England in the coming days.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain, coming into effect from 9.00pm on Thursday evening (12th October).

That's due to last all the way through Friday (13th October), with the alert in place until 11.59pm.

We're told we can expect:

  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer

The alert will in place for all of the South of England, and much of Wales.

10 to 20 mm of rain is likely, there could be 30 to 50 mm in places.

We're also warned the rain could turn thundery at times, which could bring 20 to 30 mm of rainfall in a couple of hours.
