A weapons sweep has been carried out in one of Salisbury's park this morning (Wednesday 31st January) by police and Wiltshire College students.

They've been checking over Churchill Gardens and St Martin's Churchyard, to make sure no dangerous items were being hidden there.

Nothing of concern was found during the sweep.

But the students, who are all part of the College's Public Services courses, did pick up numerous bags of litter while they were out.

Salisbury officers have posted on social media to say:

"It was brilliant to work in partnership with the College and our colleagues in the Citizens in Policing department."
