A special commemorative event's to be held in Salisbury next month, for families to remember lost babies.

The Wave of Light is held at the end of the national Baby Loss Awareness Week each October, with people lighting a candle in a child's honour.

The Benson Suite at Salisbury District Hospital, which looks after families at the most difficult of times, is organising a local event.

They're inviting those who want to remember a baby to a gathering in the grounds of Salisbury Cathedral from 6.15pm on Sunday 15th October.

It'll be held by the Angels of Harmony statue, near the West Front entrance.

Lanterns and battery candles will be given out for families to write their own message of memorial.

They'll then be placed on the ground, with poems read and a minute's silence, before people can take their lanterns home with them.

Donations will also be accepted for the Stars Appeal Benson Suite Fund.
