A man's been arrested in connection with the series of incidents around Salisbury, while also being wanted by police for failing to appear in court.

The 42 year old, from the city, was located in Southampton yesterday (Monday 30th January) by officers from Wiltshire Police's Fortitude Team, who target serious and organised crime.

He was wanted for failing to appear before Salisbury Magistrates in September 2022 and December 2022.

That was for charges of possession of Class A and B drugs, and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

He's also now been further arrested in connection with some other incidents:

  • On suspicion of aggravated burglary, following an incident in Butts Terrace in Salisbury on January 15th
  • On suspicion of robbery, in connection with the theft of a handbag in Cranebridge Road in the early hours on Saturday morning (28th January)
  • On suspicion of burglary at the Nisa store in The Crescent, on January 15th

He was also arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply, after Class A substances were found during the arrest yesterday.

He's still in custody being questioned.
