Hundreds of vehicles on display at Wallop Wheels and Wings today
It's the second event of its kind at the Army Flying Museum
We're getting a chance to see some impressive aircraft and roadcraft up close in West Hampshire today (Saturday 2nd July).
Wallop Wheels and Wings is being held at the Army Flying Museum at Middle Wallop.
Among the 50 planes and helicopters on show will be a Tiger Moth, a Hornet Moth, a Wildcat and a Gazelle, with a flypast planned, as well as chances to see the Army's Apache attack helicopter.
That's been made possible thanks to the Army Air Corps, based just next door to the attraction.
More than 300 cars and motorbikes will also be displayed.
The Maserati Club, Porsche Club and Ferrari Owners Club will all be there - and there'll be an appearance from the Armed Forces Bikers too.
Chief Executive of the Museum Lucy Johnson said:
“Wallop Wheels and Wings is the Army Flying Museum’s main fundraising event and a chance to showcase some of the best vintage aircraft, cars and motorbikes on the beautiful site of Middle Wallop airfield.
"The Museum is an independent charity and relies on fundraising activities to support the work we do in preserving the history of Army aviation, so the proceeds from this event are vitally important. But it’s also a brilliant day out for the whole family and we hope you can join us!”
Visitors are warned that the Museum itself and the Café will be closed during the event.
The Café is hosting a BBQ on site though, along with other refreshment stands.
Wallop Wheels and Wings is being held between 10.00am and 4.30pm.
Some tickets will be available on the gate, priced at £20 for adults, £13 for children aged 5-15.
