The Army Flying Museum’s flagship event returns for a third year today in Middle Wallop.
Wheels and Wings is back after two sell-out years and is set to be bigger and better than before.
50 classic aircraft and over 300 classic cars and bikes will be heading to the museum for the event.
Museum Chief Executive Lucy Johnson said: “The museum is an independent charity and relies on fundraising activities to support the work we do in preserving the history of Army aviation, so the proceeds from this event are vitally important.”
Weather permitting there will be maiden visits from Rolls-Royce’s Heritage Flight and the Stinson Reliant from Navy Wings, as well as many other classic aircraft flying in and out of the venue.
For fans of four-wheel vehicles, the Porsche Club and Ferrari Owners Club will be in attendance, but if you prefer a classic car, the Aston Martin Owners Club and Austin Healey Club will be on display.
And if you prefer half as many wheels, British Army Motorsports Association will be appearing with their motorbikes
A full schedule of entertainment will be on throughout the day, including craft activities, laser tag, garden games and circus skills.
There will also be a ‘Living History’ area, where visitors can learn more about the Second World War and the various regiments and personnel who were involved.
